1_Analysis
In the first step we performed several ergonomical tests with patients of different ages to understand their difficulties and abilities in performing self-physical examinations. We 3D printed several rounds of mock-ups for evaluating form factor and functionality.
2_Configuration
Tytocare came to us with the idea of a “camera like” configuration. We decided to give to the LCD a 15 degrees angle, creating the best ergonomical experience for all the different physical examinations.
3_User experience
From the beginning of the project we focused on making simple to perform physical examinations at home. We worked together with Tytocare to create the best digital platafform and improve the communication between tyto and users as well as doctors and users.
4_Design strategy
We created a system that allowed Tytocare to develop multiple accessories for different physical examinations... each module when is connected with the basic element, creates different playful shapes.
5_Design details
When we design, we transform mechanical challenges and technical details into design details. This ensure that every part and details looks as intended.
6_Engineering
In this step we fully integrate all mechanical, optical and electronic components while optimizing size, manufacturing and production assembly.
7_Look and feel
We designed Tytocare device to look non traditional medical. We created an internal architecture that allowed us to fit all components and ergonomical requirements into a comfortable shape. We had one main body and multiple peripheral sensors and our goal was that when assembled together they look simple and complete.
