1_Design Strategy
Orcam came to us to design and engineer their next generation of wearable personal assistants. it'll deliver helpful information throughout your daily experiences. When we started the design process, we knew that the challenges will be making the device non intrusive, fashionable and as small as possible.
2_Making the biggest internal component disappear...
All the existent wearable cameras and tracker activities looks pretty bulky in these days, so we knew that we didn’t want to make another one. We find a clip configuration that allowed us to hide the biggest internal components behind the cloth, and showing only a slick and fashionable metal clip.
3_Designing and engineering
This kind of project requires a very close interaction between aesthetics and mechanics. We refined and improved the design taking in consideration all the ergonomic, mechanical and electronic constrains. During this process we made dozens of prototypes were we judged form factor, comfort and manufacturability.
4_Details, details, details...
We crafted MyMe to be the perfect balance between technology and user experience. We created custom battery, springs, camera module and electronic components to fit into a simple and iconic shape.
